Review: Naked Basics

Ever since I got interested in make up, I noticed everyone talked about the oh so wonderful Naked Palettes by Urban Decay. When I checked their price I was even more shocked because people spent 30-45€ for an eyeshadow palette so it must be really good. Like, really, really good.

My birthday was three weeks ago but last week I gathered some of my closest friends and we had dinner... and guess what? They surprised me with late birthday presents! Since I have told my best friend over a thousand times that I needed to buy one of those palettes, she told my friends and they surprised me with the Naked Basics Palette by Urban Decay as well as an amazing eBook, which I will be talking about in my next posts!

Basically, for those who don't know, the Naked Basics Palette came out last year and it's basically the palette every girl should have. Their neutral colours are beyond beautiful and you can use it for work/school or when you go out with your friends or even in a night out thanks to the dark shades! They are all matte colours except the first one called Venus which is shimmery and really, really nice!

(Sorry about the quality! I need to invest on a new camera — I know — but this is as good as it gets for now!)

The six colours are:
Venus (this one is shimmery!), Foxy, Walk Of Shame (WOS), Naked 2, Faint and Crave

I would recommend it 100%!

If you can't afford it, I've read that MUA sells a really nice dupe for Naked Basics and Naked 2 for 4 GBP!
But if you wouldn't mind getting an EXACT REPLICA you can head to buyincoins and get one for less than 10$. YES, LESS THAN 10$. Naked 2 is for 5$ it's ridiculous! And the package and colours are almost exact, you can even check the pictures of the people who bought it!

I'm considering buying the replica at buyincoins since I've read different reviews. Also, there aren't shipping fees so I think it's such an amazing opportunity.

Are you a Naked Palette lover? Would you consider buying an exact replica? What's your favourite Naked palette?

I hope you're having an amazing Monday!

Cristina xx

  1. I would love to get my hands on the UD Naked Basics palette! I own the first UD Naked palette and I love it! I wouldn't buy a replica though, I doubt it will be as good as the original. Cool blog post!

  2. I'm so recommending it! I honestly have no idea how much it cost to my friends since they got it in Sephora but I believe it costs around 30 euros? That means each eye shadow costs 5 euros which I think is pretty good! (So jealous you got the first Naked Palette!)
    Thanks for passing by xx

  3. Hello! I have nominated you for the Liebster Award! :) Your blog is lovely. The rules and questions are on my blog! x

  4. Thanks Isabel! I'll post my answers tomorrow! x

  5. I have this palette also, it's amazing! xo

  6. Aw I agree with you! It's a must! Thanks for the comment! xx

  7. Hey! I nominated you for The Liebster Award! Rules and stuff in my last blog post!
All a bit of fun! Not compulsory! thank you :) x

  8. I just found your blog, and I'm glad I did! I can't wait to see more posts!

I love this palette! I got my first Naked palette for Christmas, and I gotta say, it's fantastic. I used to be strictly drugstore only, but it's such a great quality. It looks like I've made the switch, haha.

  9. Aw thank you Emily you're very nice! :)

Which palette did you get? Naked 1/2/3 or the basics? Lucky girl you got it for Christmas! I used to be strictly drugstore only as well, my budget isn't too high hahahaha!

Thanks for your lovely comment x

  10. I got Naked 1! But after seeing this post, I really want the basics, haha.

  11. The absolute perfect present for a beauty lover, you have some great friends haha!
I have the Naked 1 and 2 and they're honestly worth saving your pennies for.
I also have the MUA palette and the Sleek one that people have said are similar, they're great for their price but really don't compare!
    Urban Decay nailed it.

  12. Hello Chloe! Thanks or passing by! Oh I definitely agree, I have amazing friends! They told me they had planned to buy me one of the Naked Palettes, the big ones, but they thought the basics + ebook was better which I'm happy tbh! It's the first highstreet palette I own and I think it's worth it!

Thanks for telling me abut MUA and Sleek! (I had no idea Sleek had one similar!) but yes I understand! :)

Thanks again for the comment xx

  13. I definetly want this palette ! I just found out about your blog and I love it :)

    -auré xoxo

  14. Thanks for the comment Auré! I recommend it and I hope you get it. Even though there are replicas, I think the price is ok. You see, there are 6 colours and every colour costs around 5-6 euros so it's not that bad. But lucky me I got it as a present!! xx

  15. I love this pallete I need to buy it soon!

I'm following you on bloglovin hope you will do the same ;)

  16. Mathilda, how lovely! Thanks for following, I'm following you back! Also... YES! Get it, you won't regret it! x

  17. Its true what you said about the MUA palette being the same, it really is! I've always wanted the naked palette but I just can't afford it, but the MUA one fills my craving haha
    lovely blog :)

  20. I have the three Naked Palettes and Naked Basics! They are incredible, and there are so many possibilities! Worth the investment for sure! :) <3

    1. I need to get my hands on any of the big palettes — hopefully Naked 2 though! x

  21. As a newby to the eye shadow world, this Urban Decay Basic Naked Palette is amazing!! It's helping me learn techniques and super natural as well so I can wear it on my lazy whatever days.

Also did a blog post on it here:
