What's In My Bag? #2 Pack your essentials! (Travel Edition)

Hello lovelies!

As you may know, I'm leaving tomorrow for a weekend away to Barcelona and I'm very, very excited about it so that's why I have decided to make a post about my travelling essentials!

I'm going to carry this leather bag as my carry on bag but I'm also carrying a suitcase. However this bag won't leave my side at all! And I wanna have some essentials with me at the airport. You will know more about this leather bag in the future as it's the bag I use to go to university and I'm planning to write a post about it - however I can tell you it was a great deal I got in a market here in my island (26€ when the seller wanted to sell it for 45€) and that is the only piece of actual leather I own.

♡  Beauty Essentials ♡

♡ In this bag, I'm carrying my make up bag with several lip balms and very basic things like foundation, eyeliners and a basic eyeshadow palette. I'm only going for a weekend away so I don't really need more things and thankfully the weather is the same I have here so I don't have to worry for my skin - I know how to treat it!
♡  I'm also going to bring my brush set. Since it's so travel friendly, I can't help but bring it with me just in case.

♡  Electronic Devices ♡

♡  For electronic devices, my phone is an essential. I need to be in touch with so many people when I travel like my family, my friends and I definitely need to be in touch with my friends who live there! It's not the best phone in the world, it actually sucks a little, but oh well it's as good as it can get for now.
♡  My iTouch for some music and games. I carry it with me wherever I go. Plus, if there's wifi available, it's faster than my phone!
♡  And finally, my eBook because I can watch movies / shows besides just reading. For long flights is very useful and also for long journeys on a bus!
♡  (Oh, and the camera I'm using right now, of course... but I couldn't show it because, well, I was taking the picture hahaha!)

♡  Other Essentials ♡

♡  You can't go on a weekend away without your wallet / purse. You need money, documentation, tickets...
♡  A notebook in case you want to write something important or keep up with a journal, or if you feel inspired! I think that carrying a notebook everywhere you go is great. I have carried notebooks and travelling journals everywhere I go ever since I went on my first trip with my school
♡  Bring some snacks or buy them at the airport. You never know! And also your typical magazine or newspaper. I don't know why I have that habit or buying stuff to read - even if I do have stuff to read!

♡  Final Tips ♡

♡  Always pack your essentials in the bag you are going to carry with you to the plane / ferry / bus. Anything could happen so if your main luggage gets lost, you can have important things with you.
♡  Be careful with the money! Carry essential money in that bag and have some in the luggage so in case you lose it / get robbed, you don't lose everything. Maybe it's a dumb tip but it's something parents always say and I've found it very useful.
♡  Not everything you own are essentials. Think carefully about what you're going to bring with you and don't carry too much weight on you. There may be limits / you may feel tired of carrying so many useless things.

Are your essentials different than mines? Would you recommend something else?

I hope you find this post useful! I won't be able to post anything until March 3rd so I'll see (read!) you guys very, very soon! Have a lovely weekend x

Cristina xx

  8. This sounds crazy but I visited Spain last year and we visited a little shops where they sold leather backpacks and my sister bought one identical to yours! Mine was a tad bit different, but generally the same look! I am going for a small trip over the weekend too! :) This was a really helpful post! x
