Review: Naked 2 (or Naked "2 good 2 be true")

Hello girls!

Sorry about the bad pun, haha! Remember when I told you that I had ordered my Naked 2 on Buyincoins? Well, if you don't remember, I'll refresh your mind a little bit. Two weeks ago I visited buyincoins.com and I bought the Naked 2 replica for 5$. Yes, 5$. It arrived on Monday (how fast!) and here I am with the post I promised you: my review on the Naked 2 replica.

Let me tell you that I'm not into buying replicas or fake products but, as a student, I couldn't afford the Naked 2 so I decided to go for the cheapest alternative. I know what you're thinking: but, Cristina, what about MUA? And W7 In The Buff? *sigh* I couldn't spend much money and I need to spend 10GBP on MUA to get free shipping so... Anyway, I'm planning on getting the MUA palettes someday so I can compare them with this Naked 2.

This came perfectly packed and super protected. However, it came with a few flaws that I spotted. I don't really care about them but I like being honest and show you everything about this palette.

The packaging is almost identical. Not the box, of course, that box is absolutely fake but good try! However the packaging is really good. I haven't tried the original Naked 2 but I can say this is very light. I think that my original Naked Basics is heavier than this!

I noticed the following things just looking at it:
  1. NO INGREDIENTS. I mean, I already knew about this but still, yes, no ingredients, and that's the dangerous part.
  2. NO ANIMAL CRUELTY FREE STATEMENT. Urban Decay products are animal cruelty free and this packaging doesn't include that statement, which is sort of scary.
And this is what you find just by opening the box:

The brushes are quite nice. It comes with a shadow and crease brush and they feel soft. I haven't tried them yet and I've read different reviews on them so I'll let you know as soon as I try them.

The matte colours feel very chalky. I tried to swatch them on my arm and ugh. Except for Blackout, that one looks great. The shimmery colours are simply beautiful. I really like them and I think the pigmentation is really good for them.

Colours Foxy and Bootycall are very similar and I have Foxy on my Naked Basics and they are similar but not exact - I think the Naked Basics one is really good and this one is okayish.

There are many differences with the original palette but you really need to look at both palettes closely to distinguish them. I can't compare the colours to the real ones though I think these are fine. I had read very bad reviews and also really good ones. My opinion on this Naked 2 replica is that it's fine. Not perfect, but it's definitely not a disaster.

I called this review "Naked 2 good 2 be true" because I paid 5 dollars for it (4 euros more or less) and I definitely couldn't expect the quality to be as good as the originals, or to come in a package as good as the original, but it's alright and I think it's a cheaper alternative. I don't encourage you to buy replicas but if you want to give it a go, I think it's okay.

♡ Do I recommend it?
If you're scared of the fact that there aren't ingredients mentioned / it's a replica, then don't buy it. If you want a cheaper alternative, I think this is a good option besides the dupes we all know.

 Will I buy it again?
I don't think I will buy more replicas. At least, Naked replicas. I want to buy the original Naked 3 l and MUA dupes for Naked 1 & 2. However, I will be buying from buyincoins again as it arrived amazingly fast! (In two weeks!)

Do you think that the replica is worth it? Would you buy a replica?

  4. I love my Naked 2 pallette, but at £38 I can see why you would opt for trying a replica!

  5. I think the pigmentation is soooo good for a dupe because a lot of the time you dont get well paginated products when they are dupes, its a little scary having no ingredients but for the price it looks like a great copy!

  7. I really want to buy the real palette but I don't have enough money :( That is kind of frightening that it doesn't say no animal cruelty on the box.

    1. Really? That's good - at least for replica owners! But it would suck if people bought it thinking it was real T_T
