Crissy loves Fanny Crown

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a new post, a bit different from what you may expect here. By the beginning of April, I was contacted by Fanny Crown to participate in their contest. It was easy: I had to pick a dress from their collection and explain how would I wear it and style it. The difficult part was actually choosing the dress since all of them were beautiful! But I finally made up my mind...

Let me talk to you about...: Benefits of rosehip

Hello lovelies!

I have recently bought this small bottle of rosehip oil. I have heard wonders of how rosehip may improve your skin and I thought I would give it a go. My best friend was the one to recommend me this bottle (30ml, 6,20€ from Deliplus) and I have been trying it for a few days already.

Rosehip oil is very benefitial for dry skin and also for damaged skin. If you have scars or red stretch marks, Rosehip oil claims to regenerate that part of your skin.

Thirteen

Alcudia, Mallorca

I would kindly like to apologise for my lack of posts / comments in your blogs. I have had a hectic week and finally I get to post something! I would like to thank you for my milestone: 800 followers! Eeeek! So crazy! Thank you very, very much!

On April 13th we celebrated one of my brother's birthday. We went out for a small walk around a vintage market and eventually stopped to eat something before our actual lunch. We bought very nice things I will be posting about them soon! Gotta love Sunday markets...

Yummy burger! "Dallas" Burger with cheese, caramelised onions and pickels! Plus chips + amazing salad.

Necklace: C&A | Blouse: Primark | Skirt: H&M | Shoes: Marypaz | Nails: Essie "Fishnet Stockings" Bag: handmade
And that handsome man is my big brother! ;-)

In my family we have a funny tradition - we celebrate things on the thirteenth. One of my brother's birthday is on April 13th so today we went out to celebrate to enjoy such a wonderful weather here in the island. It feels like Summer already! We were so tempted to go for a swim...
I really wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took and also how fun it was to celebrate my brother's birthday with the family!

I'm still not on Easter holidays but I'm so looking forward to them!

How have you been?

Crissy Chats #6: 5 tips to keep up with a healthy lifestyle

Hello lovelies!

How many of you are pursuing a healthy lifestyle? And how many of you actually succeed on doing that? Seriously! Sometimes I find it very, very hard to keep up with my healthy lifestyle, specially now that I've started my second semester and my timetables are just a big mess.

I have uni normally from 8:00 to 14:00, sometimes I start later, sometimes I finish earlier, so that means I get home an hour later than I finish (perks of taking public transport... yikes). I find it very hard sometimes because when I want to go to the gym, I feel very lazy or tired so I end up napping because I need to rest and then I get lazy or busy with other stuff - so how am I going to keep up with my gym hours and my uni hours, social life AND homework!?

If you've got the same problem; I have some tips to share with you! Remember that by no means I'm an expert on this topic, I'm just sharing my personal tips and things that have worked for me so far.

1. Don't be so hard on yourself. Every body works differently! You don't have to go everyday! Studies say it's okay to go 3-4 days per week. Maybe even 5. Take days in between your workouts to rest your body. Exercise is good, but remember your body needs to rest.

2. Make your gym / fitness routine a part of your schedule. As hard as it may seem, there's time for an hour or hour and a half workout routine. If you have class in the afternoon, do your routines in the morning. If you have class in the morning, go in the afternoon! Mini tip: If you can't afford a gym membership or you don't want to exercise outside alone, download the app seven! It's great! It provides you 7 min workouts that can help you tone up a little!

3. Sleep 6-8 hours minimum. This may sound silly but it's a good way to feel healthy - plus you'll feel wonderful. The fact that beauty starts from within is true; it is proven that if you sleep between 6 and 8 hours, your body will thank you.

4. Drink water. Obvious, right? I'm not saying you musn't drink soda. Come on, everyone needs a sugar boost! But don't drink it everyday. I love Coke, I used to drink so much Coke, but now, if I drink one, it's Coke Zero and every now and then like special dinners or such. I'm drinking so much water now I feel very proud of myself hahaha!

5. Don't be restrictive with your foodMake small changes. Don't try to be so drastic because it's not going to work. If you want to start living a healthy lifestyle, you shouldn't go from black to white. For example: do you eat lots of sweets during your week? Try to eat less sweets!
You will read that clean eating is the best you can do aka not eating processed foods at all, just natural food. In my opinion, that can be quite restrictive and may make people develope binge eating disorders since you have to eat well 6 days and then you can eat everything you want for one day. My tip? Flexible dieting aka "If it fits your macros" - you don't have to necessarily count calories but macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates...) to keep up with a healthy lifestyle. That means you can eat a slice of your favourite cake and still be a healthy mofo person!

Easy, right? These tips have worked for me so far and I hope you find them useful. Let me know if you're like that too or you'd share more tips!

March Favourites

Hello everyone!

I'm back with the regular posts! Uni has been hectic but I'm back and that's what counts! I can't believe it's April already, so this means... March favourites! This time my favourites have only been a few but I hope you like them!
