Crissy Chats #8: Green Juice Fever + Recipe

Hello everyone!

I hope you all have had a good weekend - I definitely did! I've been relaxing, I won't lie, but I know I should be going hard at uni since I have my finals in less than a month eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!! 

I don't know if you're aware of the new trend in health and fitness. Famous models and people in general are drinking the green juices which are detox juices. They're vegetables, fruits and water - as simple as that. My mother and me have been drinking those for a week and a half now and they're very yummy.

I think celebrities only drink that. Like they go a day drinking only that. I think that's a bit radical. My breakfast is normal, my lunch has the green juice as something that goes with the rest of the food - like my fish or my rice or whatever - and maybe I can only drink that as my dinner but that's about it. So far, the results are visible. My tummy is definitely flatter. MIND YOU! I'm NOT only drinking that - I'm also doing exercise. Apparently, if you only drink the green juice, you should not do plenty of workout - you should take it easy that day unless you have eaten something else. 

The good thing about this green juice is that you're definitely having your daily intake of veggies and fruits. Also, they're pretty yummy. It is a great detox, healthy for your tummy and you don't feel like overeating! 

Here I share with you the ingredients.

  • 2 Bananas
  • Handful of spinach
  • 2 Apples
  • Celery
  • Lettuce
  • 2 pears
  • Half of a lemon's juice
  • 1.5l of water
You will have aprox 3l of juice! You should be drinking it within a 2-3 days max. These quantities work for me and my mum but if you want to drink it on your own, you should just add half of the quantities for each ingredient.

REMEMBER that there are no miracles when it comes to fitness and health. If you want to be healthy, do exercise daily and eat different food in a balanced way + 2l of water daily!
