I've got a new (and affordable!) camera! (+ example pics!)

Hello everybody!

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for voting me in the Get Noticed Awards as I've won the Quirkiest Blog award! That is so awesome, I'm so happy! Thank you very much!

I'm sorry I've been so absent these days but I'm here with good news. I've been working hard for the past week as it was my last week in a summer camp. There are a few things I really wanted to buy with the money I got and one of them was this camera. It's not a reflex, but I think it will do a good job.

This is a bridge camera - it's neither a reflex nor an ordinary camera. It's the bridge between those categories and I think it's a good choice.

Josie from Josie's Journal has the same one (or the L820 version, I'm not sure now!) and when I noticed it after I had seen it in some other shops I thought "Mhm, maybe I can get it!".

If you're looking for an affordable camera and you don't want to spend much money on it, you can go for this option. It's actually around 179€-200€ in some places but I bought it for... *drum roll* 149€. An. Absolute. Bargain.

Okay, it doesn't contain a SD card. (Whatevs, everyone has one these days and if you don't they are SO affordable) There are some packs that include a case and a SD card anyway.

Okay, it doesn't have a battery but AA Alcaline batteries (what a plus! Have you run out of batteries? Buy some!)

... but have you seen the quality? And the zoom is beyond amazing. I finally have a proper camera for my blog and I'm so happy I've invested in this! Now I need my new computer and I'm set to move to England.

You don't need a camera that costs around 400€ to get good pics and specially if you aren't planning to go all pro on it. I am, but since I can't afford a big one at the moment, I'm so thankful for this little baby.

Welcome to the family, Nikon L320!

  1. Although its an amazing price, I dont think I could cope with AA batterys! I know how fast they run out and I think every digital camera in 2014 should have a battery pack! Images do look lovely though.

    1. Oh Daisy, I can understand that! I agree with you, and yes battery packs are always better. Perhaps I'm just so used to AA batteries that I don't mind! Plus I have rechargable batteries + a charger so it's all good! xx

  2. AA batterys is a camera, that is quite unusual now a days, however, it is an affordable price! H xx

  3. Would like to know how long the batteries last but looks like a lovely camera for blogging - perfect for people who like you said don't necessarily want a professional camera or can't justify the price. This is so affordable as well it just looks like the perfect camera for any blogger looking to upgrade the standard of their photos!

  8. Love the pic quality. I have a camera that takes AA but I ended up buying a rechargeable battery. They have rechargeable batteries that could take the place of the AA. Just a suggestion. Either way, great post and as I said, the pics are great.
