Lips on fire

Hello lovely people!

Apologies for the lack of posts as these days have been busy here, but here I am, with something to talk about!! Originally this wasn't going to be the review I wanted to post today but I thought it was worth it.

I'm presenting you the Rimmel's Colour Rush Long Lasting Intense Colour balm in the shade 600 ON FIRE.

Can I fangirl over my camera? I'm still playing around with it and playing with photography but I'm so blessed to have it. I hope I improve my skills as I keep on using it.

Anyway, back to the actual review...

This product claims to be a long lasting balm that puts colour on your lips. We know how this works, right? Several brands have released similar products, starting from Clinique and Revlon and now Astor, Rimmel, MUA...
The packaging is very simple - a lip balm crayon look that we all know. I honestly bought it to see the fuss of it as everyone has one and I'd like to say I'm more impressed than I thought I would.

It is a gorgeous hot pink colour that leaves a creamy finish on your lips - not matte, not glossy, just plain creamy, like a lip balm... obviously. When I swatched it on my hand I was very surprised by the intensity of the colour as some other lip balms don't look like that so it's one of the reasons that moved me to buy it.
Worth mentioning is also the fact that it smells exactly like a Mac lipstick. I keep sniffing it because it's amazing!

However let me talk about the essential part of this review because you're probably thinking about it, too. IS IT ACTUALLY LONG LASTING?

Ladies and gentlemen, it actually is. Firstly, when I swatched it, after removing it you could still see a bit of pink so I was like "Mhm. I need to clean it again? Interesting." In my lips it was the same. I wore it one day since 10 am because I had to run errands that involved talking a lot, licking my lips because I have that dumb habit, drinking water and then I came home to have lunch with my best friend. I didn't have to reapply it, the colour was still there - less colour than at the beginning but it didn't look weird at all.

So my lips feel hydrated at all times, the finish is actually very creamy, it smells good and the colour lasts a lot. Any cons? Not even the price. I got it for 4,75€ with 20% off which I thought it was an incredible bargain.

 ♡ Do I recommend it?
Absolutely!

 ♡ Would I repurchase it?
Yes. Actually, I'm considering getting more colours!

What do you think about this lip balm?

  5. I had a feeling since I saw it featured in the haul post that you`ll love it. From all the brands that released them, these are actually my favourite. I recommend Not an Illusion, a lovely nude, and Give Me a Cuddle, a baby pink.
