REVIEW: Mask of Magnamity by LUSH

It is known by everyone my obsession with LUSH and all their products. I just love their policy and the fact that all their products are 100% vegan. I'm not vegan, however I love using very natural products on my skin since we all damage it with different chemicals.

This is what the brand says about it:

A multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin - now in a self-preserving formula.

(I took this picture the same day I bought it, hence the fact it looks so "new")
This is my second face mask but this is also a mask for your back in case you have any zits. I've been using in my face because my best friend recommended it to me.
In the past, I have used La Amorosa which was wonderful to my skin but I wanted to try a different one. La Amorosa is a fresh mask that costs 9,25€ and this one costs 6,50€ (and it's bigger!)

As LUSH says in its website: "Easily smoothed over the skin anywhere you like, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you remove it. There’s also mineral rich kaolin to nourish, antibacterial honey, and peppermint oil to stimulate the blood cells just under the surface of your skin to leave it looking bright and refreshed."

Summing up: it does all that.

The first time I used this mask I felt my skin oily. I thought that was weird but yes, the morning after it was very oily which made me wonder if this mask would be good for my skin. I asked my best friend and she told me she felt the same. Also, you can literally feel the peppermint acting on your skin. You'll feel your skin so fresh, seriously.

The second time it felt less oily, which made me happy. And gradually it felt less and less oily! I've been using this facemask twice a week with two or three days of separation depending on how good or bad my skin was.

My skin feels very clean, too! However this mask isn't a cleanser, you should definitely add it to your skincare routine not replace a product with this one!

Overall I think this product is great and it expires within three months and not one like the fresh masks, so you can use it a lot. If you suffer from light acne or simple bad zits / imperfections I think it will work too. However if you have severe acne, there's a garlic fresh mask that will serve you just fine!

♡ Do I recommend it?
Yes

♡ Would I repurchase it?
Definitely - although I want to try other face masks, too!

Have you tried any LUSH face masks?

  1. Another great Lush review! It sounds really interesting, but I have very oily skin so I don`t know if this one is for me:-?? When`s your next Lush trip? I`m curious about what else you`ll buy:p

    1. Oh Georgiana, you're truly the sweetest!

Errr, that's a good question. I actually have a mix of both but when it's Summer it gets very oily. Somehow I've managed to control it a little with my super lazy skincare routine - that I will post about someday - and adding Lush face masks to it!

I've been going a lot to Lush these days but haven't bought anything as I'm preparing my trip to England *and staying there 6 months!* so I think I will review the few products I still have left to review before I buy something else! But I'm craving for a few things... eeek ahhahaha xxx

    2. Oh yeah, it`s less than a month now, right? Then my advice would be to stay away from Lush and save the money for some UK beauty bargains.

  3. I've never tried a lush face mask, it's the first thing I'll buy if they decide to train their staff how to not harass customers!
