ROOM TOUR & HAUL

Hello lovelies!

Sorry that my posts haven't been the best lately. I actually deleted some because I noticed nobody commented - yup, I do that - so I was like "hey, maybe these were crap, let's start over" and still I think the lack of catching up on other blogs is paying off... I honestly don't have time and when I do all I want to do is sleep but I'm going to schedule a few posts now and see how it goes.

Anyway, as you may know I'm in Sheffield now and of course I have already gone to Meadowhall. SO wonderful. You can expect a future haul coming, I think, as there is a Student Lockdown in Meadowhall next week - and of course I'm joining in! Everything will be 30% off and mama needs a new parka! (And a few other things, we'll see!)

I'm living in a city accommodation, not in campus, but so far I'm having the greatest time of my life meeting new people and having tons of fun (eh, even if I'm an ERASMUS student I gotta join those Freshers events, right?) I still haven't gone to like all the parties and stuff, I've just been hanging out with the people I've been meeting for the past week and I'm having such a lovely time here.

WHAT I WORE: University of Sheffield's Welcome Reception 2014

Hello everyone!

I have a few hours before I start walking around the city of Sheffield to discover new places - but here I am! I'm here! I've made it to the UK! I hope you're all doing great.

Even though I arrived a few days ago - on Wednesday, to be exact - I haven't really had the time to sit down and chat with you. I'm starting to catch up on your blogs now, I hope you bear with me!

I'm an Erasmus student at the University of Sheffield for one semester and my friend and me decided to attend to the Welcome Reception to get to know a few people. Turns out we made a big group in a matter of minutes, it was so wonderful.

NAKED 3 | First impressions

Farewell presents seem to be something that I keep receiving lately. For example, my parents paid half of the computer I'm writing from - YES, I HAVE A BRAND NEW LAPTOP! - and even though it's not an Apple, this badass laptop is 17 inches and it's just wonderful (it's a Toshiba Satellite, in case you are wondering!)...

But I have also received this wonderful gem. I'm not a Urban Decay virgin, I received earlier this year my first Urban Decay palette: the Naked Basics. It's great, easy to use, easy to apply, and the neutral colours are amazing for daily basis. I also have the Naked 2 - a really good replica - that I'm happy with and that I use frequently. But the Naked 3, oh boy! Pink is my favourite colour so a palette including only pink-plum shades was like the best thing that could happen. I was thinking of buying Iconic 3 by Makeup Revolution but this came earlier than expected thanks to my best friend.

Life lately...

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing great today. Apologies for my lack of posts these days as I have not had the time to sit down and write some posts to schedule!

I promise to get back at all your comments as soon as I have the chance as I have limited access to the computer right now for the lack of time I have. I have been taking some exams and preparing everything to move out and these weeks have been just so stressful, so I will let you know some highlights!

So what have I been up to? As you may know, I'm leaving to Sheffield in exactly one week. I'm going to study half a year there thanks to the ERASMUS scholarship that I've been given. I can't hold my excitement and nervousness and truth is, at some points, I feel very overwhelmed. Not in a bad way, though, it's not like I'm having some sort of panic attack and I want to stay and not leave - that's something very different and I'm sorry for all the people who suffer anxiety and panic attacks on a daily basis. I mean, I've been feeling overwhelmed because I haven't gone anywhere for so much time and I'm a very familiar person, but this is the life and the path I'm choosing and it will also help me grow in so many ways that I know everything's going to be alright. Also, this is one of my biggest dreams ever so I can't wait... I mean, what are seven days? What is a week?!

I have been hanging out with my friends a lot, that's why my blog has been a bit slow. Some of my friends depart to Barcelona and Madrid to continue their university degrees, some stay here in Mallorca and, well, I'm leaving to the UK so we have been hanging out as much as we can. We have had like 3 farewell dinners, no joke. (And I have the ultimate farewell dinner on Friday... or Saturday... I have no idea! And yes, the farewell dinners have been with THE SAME PEOPLE. Gotta love my friends)

Oh, and the other pictures... well, my cousin got married! And it was such a wonderful wedding. The dress you see me wearing is from H&M and I got it a day before the wedding. I had already a dress I bought two ages ago for another wedding that I honestly love so much but I saw this one and I couldn't resist. It's gorgeous and very simple, but so beautiful too!
As I've mentioned, the wedding was amazing. It was so multicultural and familiar and

As we speak (I mean, as I write) I had to take a 5 minutes break to scream. I have been taking some retakes because this semester hasn't been the best - but I passed one of the worst subjects I remember: Phonetics. And not only that but got the highest grade - I mean hellooooooooooo! Isn't that a good reason to party? So I'm one happy Spaniard right now.

And that's it!

I also have plenty of good things to share with you, hopefully soon. Like, very, very good things. Just stay tuned and bear with me, I promise to be back with some normality soon!!

What have YOU been up to?!

My skincare routine with Thea Skincare

Thea Skincare is an organic skincare brand that has been offering free samples for reviewing purposes to Beauty Bloggers on Twitter.
I didn't know anything about this brand until I saw them offering said samples but I looked into the brand and I was very interested in their story. Even though you can read the full thing here, summing up I'll tell you they founded this business after the founder's first time in Africa. She had quit her job at 50 to start her own business, an organic brand mixing ingredients from Africa and Asia.
They have won several awards as well so I was quite interested in trying their products. I got them attached to a lovely letter explaining their story further and my excitement grew when I saw the samples in a cute purple bag.
