My skincare routine with Thea Skincare

Thea Skincare is an organic skincare brand that has been offering free samples for reviewing purposes to Beauty Bloggers on Twitter.
I didn't know anything about this brand until I saw them offering said samples but I looked into the brand and I was very interested in their story. Even though you can read the full thing here, summing up I'll tell you they founded this business after the founder's first time in Africa. She had quit her job at 50 to start her own business, an organic brand mixing ingredients from Africa and Asia.
They have won several awards as well so I was quite interested in trying their products. I got them attached to a lovely letter explaining their story further and my excitement grew when I saw the samples in a cute purple bag.

In my goodies bag I received three sample sizes for a moisturiser, face exfoliator and cleanser from their Skin Brightening Fruit Enzyme range.

I've been doing a skincare routine with these products in the following order:

Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Exfoliator (full size: 24,95GBP)* I didn't expect it to be creamy when I opened the small pot. It smells super fruity, like lime, and I loved it. As I've said, the exfoliator is creamy but when you apply it you can feel the exfoliating particles. I put small bits on my cheeks and chins and spread it all over, massaging my face for a while, and after rinsing my face it felt quite soft. The only bad side is that it took a while to take off all the exfoliating particles.

Face Renew System Fruit Enzyme Crème Cleanser (full size: 29,95GBP)*: It smelled exactly the same as the exfoliator and I loved it. The crème cleanser really took off the dirt from my face. I usually apply some micellar water on cotton pads and it already takes off a lot of dirt - but this crème cleanser really cleaned my face even more after using mciellar water! I had already read somewhere that crème cleansers tend to take off more than water cleansers so it's important we add them to our skincare routines. I'm super happy with this cleanser!

Face Renew Fruit Enzyme Moisturiser (full size: 44,95GBP / trial: 8,95GBP)*: Again with that intoxicating smell, mmm! It smells like yoghurt at times and I feel like eating it so I need to remind myself not to do such thing. This moisturiser is super lightweight. Even though the three pots look the same when you open them, you can really notice by their thickness that they're totally different products. However, in my opinion, this moisturiser took A LOT to get in my skin. I spent probably more than half an hour feeling my face creamy which bothered me a little, but when I woke up, as I applied these products at night, my face felt so soft that I had to feel thankful.

In my opinion, these products are good but I'm not sure if they're good for all skin types as my skin is  a mix of dry/oily and I noticed that my T zone often felt a bit oily. I thought it'd be the very first times, or just because of the fact it's just too hot to function here in Spain, but I thought I'd let you know in case you're interested in buying their products.

Definitely, my favourite product is the Crème Cleanser and I'm going to be so sad when it runs out - perhaps that means I'll purchase the full size product!

Thank you Thea Skincare for allowing me to review these products!

Had you ever heard of Thea Skincare before?

  1. I've never heard of it, but my nickname is "Thea" so this was super fun to read and I'd love to try it out xo

  2. How cute are those pots! Love the sound of the exfoliator, doesn't sound like it would be too harsh on my skin. I have combination skin so would probably request samples before trying the full sizes :) xxx

  3. I love the story behind the brand, always admire people who take a risk to start up their own business! The cleanser sounds lovely, I agree cream cleansers take off a lot more x

  9. Hooray for an organic brand! Definitely a fan of ethical/natural alternatives, especially in makeup!
