NAKED 3 | First impressions

Farewell presents seem to be something that I keep receiving lately. For example, my parents paid half of the computer I'm writing from - YES, I HAVE A BRAND NEW LAPTOP! - and even though it's not an Apple, this badass laptop is 17 inches and it's just wonderful (it's a Toshiba Satellite, in case you are wondering!)...

But I have also received this wonderful gem. I'm not a Urban Decay virgin, I received earlier this year my first Urban Decay palette: the Naked Basics. It's great, easy to use, easy to apply, and the neutral colours are amazing for daily basis. I also have the Naked 2 - a really good replica - that I'm happy with and that I use frequently. But the Naked 3, oh boy! Pink is my favourite colour so a palette including only pink-plum shades was like the best thing that could happen. I was thinking of buying Iconic 3 by Makeup Revolution but this came earlier than expected thanks to my best friend.

It comes with twelve shades, including mattes, metallics and shimmery shades! They look so pretty and I keep having heart eyes every time I look at the palette. I have it next to me as I write, I look at it like a baby - and it's a heavy baby.

My first impressions on the shades as I swatched them is that they are super pigmented, but that's not a secret. I'm very impressed also by the different pinks you can find, since you can have a nice variety of shades. The first four are so beautiful, so soft. I'd definitely wear those almost on daily basis because they're baby pinks! Burnout is a wonderful colour, I must say.

The packaging is gorgeous. And it comes with four different primers that claim to last a week, I'm super curious to try them as I know the UD primers have great reviews!

I wanted to write this post also as a way to thank my best friend for this present. Back in January, during my birthday, she wanted to get me the Naked 2 palette but bought me some other things along with the Naked Basics with my closest friends - and since I'm leaving for some months she decided I had to get the Naked 3 as I have the Naked 2 replica.

You can expect a further review as I keep on testing this wonderful palette!

Words cannot explain how excited I am to try all these shades - and hopefully make a great tutorial with these beauties!

Do you own any Naked palette

  1. Nice blog and post :) I have had this for a while now and I love it. The only thing is that if you have oily lids like me the shadow won't stay long. I have to use a primer..no option. Another good tip to enhance the stay and pigment of it is to spray the brush I use with water before applying. This leaves a really nice finish. Definitely a lovely palette. :) xx

    1. Yes! It was a bit unexpected although I knew my best friend wanted to buy it for me as a farewell present, she told me she wouldn't do it! So it was a very sweet surprise from her xxx

  3. This looks amazing, you`re lucky to have some great friends who know what you like. I have the Iconic 3 and it`s a great palette, though I must admit, this looks really tempting. I love the fact that you got those primers and a good brush, usually the ones you get in a palette are no good.

  4. Cristina! What a pleasure to find your blog! :) I have a Naked 2 palette and the Naked Basics but I hardly use that one as I find the colours too pale for my skin- I need to try and find ways to make it work!

    :) Lets keep in contact!
