Makeup Revolution Pro Go Brush Set

I assume by now you know how much I love Makeup Revolution and their stuff but I was yet to try their famous brushes. The first time I tried to order these were out of stock (which is a good sign, hey!) and one night I was randomly scrolling their online store when I noticed they were back in stock! So of course, I had to order a pack of these.

What's inside my iPhone 6?

Even though I loved my iPhone 4S and we've lived so many things together, it was time to give it a break and I got myself the iPhone 6 in silver. I'm a big Apple fan, not going to lie. I'm not doing for the pure aesthetics of the brand - which are beautiful anyway - but I genuinely love Apple and I could tell you exactly why I think it's better than Windows at the same time that I can tell you why Windows wins Apple sometimes. It's not like you have to be a computer whiz to say so, but I'm a huge geek let's get real.

My 15 favourite feelings

I was on YouTube when I saw Charlie uploaded a new video. He's one of my favourite youtubers and probably the first one I subscribed to - along with PewDiePie. To be honest, I'm not quite sure who came first in my subscription box but you get the idea. Charlie recently uploaded a video about his favourite feelings in response to Hank Green's video and this gave me the idea for a blog post! It's also a nice way to reflect on my feelings, on the things that really warm my heart at the end of the day. So, in no particular order...

Hard Day? Say no more!

My biggest beauty obsession is pretty eyeshadow palettes and even though the universe is big, there is one thing that I'm certain about:
Makeup Revolution makes the prettiest eyeshadow palettes. Ever.

When I picked Hard Day, I wasn't expecting to buy anything like that. To be fair, one of my biggest eyeshadow palette-crush is Flawless by Makeup Revolution but somehow I keep telling myself that I don't need it. That day I had Flawless in my hands and I was very convinced that I would buy it until I stumbled upon Hard Day...

My favourite fonts

Ever wanted to download those lovely fonts people use? I'm always on / Pinterest checking for cute and clean fonts and today I've decided to share some of them with you.

I'm waiting for Autumn and its fashion with open arms. It feels like Summer is about to leave us, with a few Summer storms around the corner. I already bought a sweatshirt from MANGO for this Autumn and I'm dying to wear it.
Having said this, I have to add that I'm obsessed with ASOS. I'm on an spending ban right now because I'm going to Madrid in September and I already spent way too much on a new camera. However, after my trip to Madrid, you can bet that I'm going to get a few of these things...

Crissy Chats | On University

I guess most of you will have finished uni (either the uni year or the whole degree) and some of you may be about to start this adventure. I have finished my fourth year of university in Spain (degrees are usually four years, more depending on which degree you are taking) and I should have been graduating by the end of this year but I'm going to take another year to do so... and that's perfectly fine.

Like all my Crissy Chats post, I want you to take a beverage of your choice and sit down, relax, and let's have a nice conversation on university. Of course, all comments are welcome...

Pamper evening essentials

Pamper evenings have become a weekly ritual for me. I choose a random night of the week to just take time to myself and I follow very simple steps to it. Why do I pamper? Because I have either had a bad day or a really good day. Or just because I'm bored. Either way, I follow a specific ritual everytime and I invite you all to take part of it!

Breakfast smoothie: blueberry & banana

Good morning sweeties!

Now that it's summer and I presumably have more time than when I was studying (haha, I wish!) I have more time to prepare a good breakfast rather than going with my day with just a cuppa and nothing else. Not good!
When I was still trying the teas I got sent, I decided to check on their website the food plan they offered and it was amazing. They suggested, for breakfast, oats and a smoothie. And I was like: huh? I can do that. I like smoothies!

(Also: first time writing a recipe here so I hope you like it!)

I have shared a few pictures of my blueberry & banana smoothie in the mornings and I've been asked for the recipe which is suuuuuper easy!

15 things that make me happy

People say I'm a very cheerful person. I'm usually happy, with a big smile on my face. I think it's true, and that's because there are so many little things that genuinely put me at ease after a rough day. I've read two posts recently of different bloggers who wrote a list on things that made them happy so I thought - why not?! So if you're interested - or you're a bit nosy, that's okay - here goes my list!

I love pink. I don't know how my obsession with pink started, but I swear I must be low-key Paris Hilton in 2006. Or Sharpay Evans from High School Musical. Anyway, I love pink and trust me - if there is anything that I like that has its version in pink, I will most likely buy it. So if you'd like to see a small part of all my favourite pink things, this is your post.

3 Reasons to buy the GoPro Hero HD

Yes, okay, I get it. Another camera? Yes, another camera. But the GoPro? Cristina you don't even do extreme sports or something exciting worth the money for you to get a GoPro. You know nothing Jon Snow I know. Just kidding, I know you guys wouldn't say such thing. But yes, A GoPro. The reason why I bought it is rather funny but so far I've been discovering and I don't know how I did not buy this before my ERASMUS experience.

Anyway, I live in Mallorca which is a beautiful island in Spain. I've always wanted a waterproof camera to take cool pictures with my friends, and lately I've been spending a lot of family time after studying and working so I thought I could use one. One of my brothers has one and I asked him to let me use it, but his response was blunt: "No. If you want one, get one", said probably thinking I would not have the money or guts to actually buy it.
Little did he know I went on Amazon and it was on offer and two days later it arrived peacefully at home...

So I got this wonderful GoPro for 121€ including shipping costs, which sounds like a bargain to me. Then I got myself a MicroSD for the GoPro of 16GB (max 32GB, other GoPros 64GB) for like 10€. You may wonder why is it so cheap? I think it normally costs 150€ and I'll explain you the difference with the rest of the range in the first reason why you should buy it.

Introducing Bissu Bags

A while ago, Bissú contacted me to hopefully do a collaboration together and a few days ago we sealed the deal! I'm so excited to introduce you what has become one of my favourite brands for accessories!

Hace un tiempo, Bissú contactó conmigo para una futura colaboración y hace pocos días así lo formalizamos. Estoy muy contenta de poder introduciros a la que se ha convertido en una de mis marcas preferidas para accesorios!

Perfect skin with LUSH

Ah, Lush! How much I love you. Sorry for neglecting you for a while. That goes to my readers, too. I'm finally done with retakes so I'm partially free (partially because I'm working but soon I'll have my well-deserved holidays!)

I had a post prepared for you for LUSH products BUT what happened? I LOST THEM. Yes. I did. I think my dad threw the bag unconsciously to the bin and they were brand new products I was excited to try and talk about - I had already taken the pictures - but everything happens for a reason...

These products have been gifted to me by my best friend because we somehow do love spoiling each other. I thought it was a cute gesture and I wanted to write about the products and how they help people whose skin is like mine.

(Also, I went with my best friend to get these products as she decided I could choose whatever I wanted)

Trying Newport Skinny Tea Detox

I have always been a bit skeptical when it comes to tea detox. In my mind I always think: "tea cannot make miracles: a good diet and exercise do." Nevertheless, when I was kindly contacted from their PR team to try these teas I thought I would give it a go. Why not? In the past, I had wanted to make the effort of getting the famous Bootea or the FitTea one but in the end I thought they were hoaxes. I had read bad reviews because those teas weren't as natural and had so many laxatives.

I was a bit scared because I had never heard of this brand before and that impulsed me to do my own research in order to whether I should accept the samples or not. I did my research, they sounded good and I agreed.

That's why I'm writing you this post. I want to introduce you the tea and let you know whether it works or doesn't.

I received this parcel on June 9th so by the time you're reading this I will have tried it enough times to provide you a proper review. I am committed to try this tea while eating healthy (following as much as I can their food plan, provided on their website) and doing a bit of exercise (power walks & yoga) at least 3-4 times weekly.

Hello everybody!

I know, I know. I keep saying I'm sorry and promising I'll be back with posts and then disappear for a month. I've got a good excuse now: EXAMS! However I'm finally done with them so I can be back here to be back in business!
This summer will be quite busy for me as I'm going to work in the mornings and I'll probably be dead in the mornings but I will honestly do my best to write at least three posts weekly and try to keep up with yours too as I think I've been the WORST blog-reader ever. My apologies, I promise I will catch up with your blogs.

Yesterday, I went on a stroll with my best friend to catch up and we walked into this beauty store to find out they have Makeup Revolution! Yay! I'm so happy they're slowly taking over Spain and I actually have money to spend. I'm pretty sure that by now you know this brand and I have featured them here in the past.

Without any further ado....

A little treat from the airport: MAC DIVA

If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed that my feed was recently filled with pictures from my trip to Barcelona. Since it is so cheap for me to go there and I have friends who live there, I try my best to go there at least once a year (either for a concert, to see friends or a random weekend getaway)

At the airport we were forced to go through the Duty Free shop to go to the gates and we all decided to stop at MAC. I did not see the lipstick I was looking for - DIVA - but I asked for it with no expectations. The lovely woman smiled at me and said the following: "Diva? Of course we have Diva - it's just hidden". Apparently they keep the most known lipsticks for themselves huh? All the samples for Ruby Woo, Russian Red, Diva, Sin... were somewhere totally different and for people who would ask for them. And that was me. She cleaned the sample for me and I tried Diva on and I knew that was my lipstick. I did not hesitate. I got it immediately.

Crissy Chats | On Authenticity

Source: Pinterest

It's 2015 and everyone still advices you to be yourself. You have no idea how useful that advice actually is! From motivational songs to Hollywood Stars trying to convince you that they were also outcasts once, the message is the same: "Be yourself, everyone else is taken", said Oscar Wilde once.

I read a blog post earlier this week about authenticity and stating 30 random and weird facts about yourself. The blog is CAUTIVAR and she tagged everyone, so I'm going to tag everyone too. We're awesome the way we are, even with our quirky personalities and pet-peeves. We rock.

Crissy Chats | On life's ups & downs

That's me. With some filters that change the colour of the picture, but you know that there isn't any filter that will make you look happy or excited about something. You can't fake that feeling, I've learnt that the hard way.

I disappeared (AGAIN) for one month. I guess it's been hard for me to catch up with uni here after spending a semester abroad. Coming back to Spain meant keeping up with my friends again and making sure everything was okay. It's been a hard month, I can't even explain. If you follow me on social media you may have seen I even disappeared deliberately from my social accounts. I needed a break. It was rough.

So why this picture? Well, turns out this picture, which probably makes me look like a psycho, is one of my most liked pictures on Facebook right now. People seem to love it. That night was wonderful because I saw some friends who I don't get to see everyday and we had an incredible night out. Even my mother loves this picture. And I love it, too, in spite of my crazy eyes. I guess I love it because it's genuine. That's me right there. Cool nails, nice lipstick and eyeliner on point. What a time to be alive.

As bubbly and giggly as I may seem, it's been a month that I didn't see that in myself. And I'm starting to feel this way again. I work with kids and these little munchkins know how to make me laugh, even if they call me Maleficient when I get mad at them...!!!

I know it sounds dumb, but this month I have learnt to channel my feelings. It's a hard thing to do, at least for me. I felt all sorts of ways and I had all these thoughts - hell, what do I do with those now?!?!! - I knew there was something to be done here. I learnt that there was no use in putting my feelings aside. They're my feelings and ignoring them won't help. So what do I do with all these thoughts, all these feelings?!

I found comfort in going out for a walk with my friends or my parents. I'm a family-oriented girl and I love being around my family. Luckily, our Sunday rituals of going out for lunch took my mind off a few things. Also, not having Internet on my phone helped me a lot. I only had it when I had wifi, You'd be surprised to know how happy you can be without social media. I'm using it less and less, I believe the thing I update the most is my Twitter or my Instagram, but I use my Facebook to share songs because, hell I have amazing music taste and I want all my friends to know...!!

Jokes aside, it felt good. Keeping myself busy is something good to keep your mind from thinking. I go to uni in the mornings and I work in the afternoons, so I really don't have much time to overthink situations. I channel my feelings in teaching kids in the afternoons. There's beauty in transforming your angst and pain in something wonderful like teaching, believe me. It's comforting.

And finally, I channel my feelings to do something productive. Or at least, I try to. I've been working out a little, I walk everyday and I also do yoga every friday. I believe that finding a hobby that keeps you busy in a way that you enjoy is also a good alternative.

One day I was feeling like shit. Yes, I'm not censoring that word because that's exactly how I felt. I was happy, though, that I was hanging out with my friends and we decided to go to the fun fair. I told myself I would get on a ride that scared me. And I did. It was crazy, but I screamed SO hard that I felt a relieve afterwards. Truth is, the ride was scary as hell but there were times I enjoyed myself (I mean, what else can you do in a fun fair?!) I remember walking out of the ride with mixed feelings. My knees were shaking and I was laughing. I told myself that the ride was the scariest thing I had ever experienced. Probably, that was when I decided that there wasn't anything that I couldn't overcome.

It's been a weird month filled with ups & downs, but truth is, it could be worse. It could be like that scary ride (seriously, the worst thing ever probably after a free fall) every single day of my life. But it's not that way. And I'm thankful for that.

Either way, I'm in a better place now. As John Mayer would say; "I'm in repair, I'm not together but I'm getting there". I really hope I can catch up with all your blogs (AGAIN!) and I hope I can catch up with mine, too.

Saturday, 28 February 2015

Hi, hi! Excuse the lack of posts. I recently (two weeks ago actually, still recent, still hurting) came back to Spain from my semester abroad in the UK (sad times!) and I've been catching up with uni here.

I haven't done a wishlist in a while and I thought I would write about a low-key wishlist, and that means... items I can actually afford but for some reason I never get to buy. Although I don't think I need clothes (I've got plenty, to be honest, and I bought so many!) I feel like I could use with a few of the items from this wishlist. Same goes to the beauty products!

1. H&M (7.99€) Oh, the times I've had this in my hands when I was in the UK. For some reason I always left it - and to be fair I'm glad because it's cheaper in Spain and also because I could barely fit all my things in my suitcases...!! I think this can look pretty good both for a casual look and maybe a more elegant yet informal one if you add a statement necklace for example! (Note: The day before publishing this I bought this wonderful blouse)

2. H&M (29,99€) Maybe this isn't that 'low-key', but I'm dying to get these. Originally I was going to buy the TOPSHOP ones because the plataform was higher - and I suck at walking with heels - but I think these will be pretty comfortable as well. I'm dying to get them!

3. Maybelline Colordrama in Berry Much (6,90€) I already own one of these and I'm in love. I saw one of my friends getting Berry Much and it looked AMAZING on her lips so I thought I'd give it a go - for some reason, I'm really loving using purpleish colours on my lips now!

4. FLAWLESS palette by Makeup Revolution (10,85€): One doesn't have enough palettes, right? I'm in love with this one and unfortunately I couldn't get it before leaving the UK! So I plan on ordering it online when payday comes...!!

What's on your wishlist?

Mastering the effortless look

The effortless look must be one of my favourites because, as the name says, it looks effortless and you don't really have to put much effort on it (I personally don't). This is the look I've been choosing lately for small occasions, although the last time I did this look - when these pictures were taken - was for a casual family lunch.

Three reasons why I don't support the Fifty Shades of Grey saga

This may sound radical, but I have a few reasons why I will not watch Fifty Shades of Grey this weekend. I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I would like to give you some perspective on why that saga and now franchise is harmful to their audience. I want to say that I tried to read the book but I had to stop reading it.

While reading it, I felt frustrated. Both characters represent two very well known archetypes: Anastasia Steele is a Mary Sue. For those who don't know what a Mary Sue is an idealized character, too perfect, too good and probably an alter-ego of the author. In this case, Anastasia Steele is 'too perfect' and 'too good' and allows Christian Grey do whatever she wants with her because it seems like she lacks of some sort of will. Christian Grey is the second archetype: the asshole with a dark past that "justifies" his behaviour.

I want to say before I go into the topic, that I respect everyone's opinion and I understand that people may or may not love this story, but I want to explore in this post how love is portrayed in the whole saga and why it's so harmful.

Brighton Bound

Probably my last big trip in the UK will be this one: Brighton. From February 3rd til the 4th, my friend and me decided to visit Brighton. I have always wanted to ever since I discovered that place existed. My expectations were high and I was so excited that I barely could hide said excitement.
I wanted to explore the pier, the coast, The Lanes and just enjoy a few days to relax. We were on a budget after spending 50 pounds on our trip here by National Express but it was all worth it.

Our journey began at 1:35 am from Sheffield. We took a bus to London and the journey was five hours. It was crowded but in a bad way. I don't like criticising, but there was this family who weren't respectful at all. They decided to sleep in the bus and take two seats each so they could lay down when most of the people had to sit down each one on their seats (like it's normal). It was unfair because of course everyone wants to sleep and everyone wants to relax but nobody complained.
Everytime I fell asleep, I'd wake up because the coach stopped or because it was a bumpy ride. However when I woke up at around 6 it was so beautiful because I saw London through the coach and how it snowed like crazy. So beautiful!
We took a break and ate something at Caffe Nero in Victoria Station before our bus at 8 am to Brighton, in which I actually slept a bit more.

The arrival was beautiful. We stopped at Pool Valley Station and saw the pier. Thankfully, our hostel was very close to that area. I do recommend it so much! It's called Smart Brighton Beach. We booked a private room which looked like a proper hotel room with breakfast included for almost 20GBP each the night. It was so worth it, I must say.

We visited everything in one day. Walked around The Lanes, checked the shopping area at Churchill Square and walked around the famous Brighton Pier. However, on the second day, we decided to visit the coast more in depth and also eat something from Choccywoccydoodah which was, obviously, delicious.

The pier was probably one of my favourite things, although I spent a ridiculous amount of money trying to win a minion. Eventually I didn't, but it was worth the try.
I'm from Mallorca so I know Mallorca has wonderful beaches and great landscapes, however I must say Brighton captivated me. It was peaceful and lovely and seeing the sunset was such a wonderful experience. I'd love to come back someday.

Have you ever been to Brighton?

WISHLIST | Apparel Candy

Recently I discovered Apparel Candy. They contacted me and let me tell you that they do justice to their name. There's some eye candy in that website, and the best part is that they have nice clothes for a cheap prices. I was also surprised to see that they sell wholesale clothes which may be handy when you need the same basic top!

I found very nice things in this website and I came up with this outfit idea for this upcoming Spring - Summer. The very first thing is this knitted brown cardigan that seems lightweight and such a nice layer to add when it's not hot enough to wear just a blouse. It's just 7,50$ which is such a bargain for a cardigan like this! I would then wear this colourful blouse which seems relaxed and comfortable. As accessories: this peachy bag (I'm so in love with this!) for 7,50$ and these vintage style sunglasses, perfect for a day out. Did I mention that the sunglasses are 2,50$? What a bargain.

I invite you all to check this website out and find something you like! Personally, their handbags are all adorable, it was hard to pick just one for this outfit!

Did you know about Apparel Candy?

YAY OR NAY? | Tangle teezer

I think it was back when I started watching youtubers when I first saw what a Tangle Teezer looked like. I remember it was in one of Zoella's videos and I thought it was a great idea - and then I remember myself looking for one online and seeing the price and saying 'meh, maybe it's not that cool'.

When I thought I had forgotten about them, Gabriella posted a video in which she talked about them and how it helped her long hair. I recall reading posts about them and watching more videos so I decided that maybe some day I'd buy one.

REVIEW | Love, Tanya

I'm not lying when I say that Tanya Burr got me into blogging about beauty. I was - and still am - obsessed with all her videos and looks, her style and the bubbly personality she shows on camera. It also led me to Zoella, who of course I also like very much although I miss her tutorials and beauty vlogs / blogs every now and then.

When I knew Tanya was releasing a book - I remember her saying it in a video - I thought it was going to be a great thing. In my opinion, when someone is passionate at what they do, they do it well and I think that's the case of Tanya. She loves what she does and she has worked so hard for it that it is paying off. Not only her beauty range is a success, but so are her videos and now I hope her book also becomes a great success.

I'm not saying this just because I really like her as a blogger, but because I mean it. For example when I bought It by Alexa Chung and although it was a nice book to spend some time with, it did not inspire me as much. However, I love how inspiring Love, Tanya can be.

THIS GIRL CAN | Find your motivation

It's been a while since it occurred to me that trying to be healthy and get fit is a new trend. You can even see it in your favourite shops when they start selling fitness clothes too! All my friends always talk about how they go running every now and then, or they go for power walks and I see more and more people moving more.

I've been a yo-yo when it comes to my health & fitness. Two summers ago I joined a gym and the first month I saw improvements, but then I started having 'cheat days' and stopped going to the gym that often and... eventually I spent so much money for a membership that I barely used. I wasn't motivated and I guess that my gym buddy wasn't the best either (sorry if you're reading me, but you know it's true!)

Going nude | MAC Viva Glam VI

Hello everyone!

I hope you guys have had a wonderful time with your loved ones. I have been travelling, hence my lack of posts but I promised I would be back and here I am, back in England!
On my birthday (January 9th) my parents spoiled me so much. Even though I did not really want to buy anything in particular, they decided they would buy me a Mac lipstick of my choice (because, of course, it is hard for them to choose one for me). I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and I decided to get a nude lipstick. Right now I have three Mac lipsticks and two of them have very bold colours (Impassioned and Rebel) so I thought it would be a very good idea to get a nude lipstick that I could wear everyday.
