Trying Newport Skinny Tea Detox

I have always been a bit skeptical when it comes to tea detox. In my mind I always think: "tea cannot make miracles: a good diet and exercise do." Nevertheless, when I was kindly contacted from their PR team to try these teas I thought I would give it a go. Why not? In the past, I had wanted to make the effort of getting the famous Bootea or the FitTea one but in the end I thought they were hoaxes. I had read bad reviews because those teas weren't as natural and had so many laxatives.

I was a bit scared because I had never heard of this brand before and that impulsed me to do my own research in order to whether I should accept the samples or not. I did my research, they sounded good and I agreed.

That's why I'm writing you this post. I want to introduce you the tea and let you know whether it works or doesn't.

I received this parcel on June 9th so by the time you're reading this I will have tried it enough times to provide you a proper review. I am committed to try this tea while eating healthy (following as much as I can their food plan, provided on their website) and doing a bit of exercise (power walks & yoga) at least 3-4 times weekly.

So now let me introduce you to NEWPORT SKINNY TEA.

I received a parcel with three different kind of teas: Newport Skinny Daytime Tea, Newport Skinny Evening Tea and Malibu Beach Beauty Tea. I wasn't expecting the latter but I was very curious by it.
The packaging is simple but useful. They are those kind of bags that have a zipper and you can keep things stored safely so props to them because it was useful.

I wasn't specified whether this was a seven day trial or a fourteen one (I believe it's the latter one) but I'm writing this on June 20th and I'm about to finish these teas.

The Newport Skinny Daytime Tea* has many rewarding and natural ingredients including lemon peal and yerba mate! You are supposed to drink them 30-60 minutes before breakfast AND lunch. The timing appears to be important so I'm committed to follow it.
Truth be told, the smell of the brew once it's in the cup of tea is not as good as the taste. I frankly don't like the smell BUT I enjoy the taste. It seems to be an unpopular opinion as my mother actually likes the smell.

The Newport Skinny Evening Tea* can be drunk before bedtime. The ingredients are different and the taste doesn't differ much, which is good. What I like about both teas is that they are already sweet without adding any kind of stevia or honey. It's so good!

And last but not least: Malibu Beach Beauty Tea*. It is a tea that regulates your hormones which I definitely think I need as I have bad a few breakouts probably due to stress. It is not advisable for pregnant women to drink it and not advisable for people with severe heart conditions. You can drink this at any time and apparently they also sell this tea with a face mask which is interesting as I had no idea they also made organic facemasks!
I have felt my face cleaner than usual, which is interesting. Nevertheless, I've been drinking loads of water and eating better so this is probably just an aid. I think it would be great for those who suffer acne rather than occasional spots like me!

Now, to the real question: DO THESE TEAS WORK?

Are you looking forward to losing weight? Then I believe this tea is a good aid. Losing weight is a long term commitment with yourself (you didn't gain weight in two days, you won't lose it in two days) and this tea is a good complement. It's a good detox as I feel I have gone to the bathroom more often than usual. It doesn't have a laxative effect (at least not on me) as apparently people claimed Bootea did for them. These teas include oolong tea and green tea that fasten your metabolism and burn fat so it's all natural. For real.

I lost volume and I ate most of the times following the plan they provide. I tried to stick to it as much as I could and it worked. Their meal plan is quite easy to follow to be honest, it's just me that I've been out and about with family and friends.

You are not going to miraculously lose a few kg just by doing this. I have lost weight (I believe around 1-2 kg more or less) doing power walks, eating well, doing a bit of light yoga and drinking the tea. It is a good aid that probably helps you lose weight a bit faster than usual and detox your body, but that's it.

This bundle is valued in 40$. I think it's a bit expensive compared to what other teatox products cost but if you're willing to get some extra help, extra boost, I think it may be worth the shot.

If you're curious about their tea and beauty range, please check them out at Newportskinnytea.com

What do you think about the teatox fever?!

*PR Samples. For more information, please do check my disclaimer. Thank you!
